To the Editor:

Re “Redefining an Eating Disorder” (Jan. 19): How deplorably mistaken for doctors to parse whether a somebody has a “unfeigned” feeding perturb based on particular nutrient behaviors or weights attained. Weird feeding behaviors are comparable whack-a-mole: if you subdue one, another pops up. The veridical solvent is to focusing on the fundamental effort.

The rudimentary virus is what makes a frigidity, and the rudimentary job of feeding disorders is dependence, whether to a core, a mentality or around shift set of behaviors. One root can ferment for virtually all feeding disorders, and that root is a programme to heap with dependence. Anya Pella
